Job Summary
The Marketing Automation Architect specializing in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and optimization marketing automation strategies to support the Division of Digital Transformation & Technology’s initiatives. This position works closely with the Student Enrollment team to architect and refine multi-channel automation workflows, ensuring seamless integrations and enhancing customer engagement. The architect’s expertise allows them to manage, troubleshoot, and optimize automation processes across Salesforce Marketing Cloud while providing valuable insights through performance reporting. The Marketing Automation Architect continuously drives improvements, ensuring the platform is fully leveraged to meet the evolving needs of marketing campaigns and align with business objectives to deliver exceptional results.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in computer science, Business IT, Computer Programming, or related field. Or a bachelor’s degree, in the same fields of study, with equivalent related work experience to equate to a master’s degree may be substituted.
+ Strong understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud integrations, APis, and data management.
+ Proficiency in marketing automation best practices, including segmentation, personalization, and customer journey mapping.
+ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within marketing automation workflows, data integrations, and reporting.
+ Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, IT, and data teams, to gather requirements and ensure successful automation implementation.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
+ Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Consultant).
+ Considerable experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing marketing automation workflows and multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS , social, etc.).
+ Considerable experience with HTML , CSS , SQL , AMPscript, and API functions
+ Considerable experience with reporting and analytics in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including creating and analyzing campaign performance dashboards.
+ Prior working experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
+ Prior working experience with Google Analytics
+ Prior working experience with email marketing, including best practices.

Conditions of Employment
This is a remote role, working a typical 40-hour workweek.
**The equipment provided to staff with approved telework agreements enables them to deliver vital services to University faculty, staff, and students from remote locations. Many of our operations can and should continue as usual, even when the main physical campus is closed. Therefore, all DTT employees with an approved telework agreement are generally expected to work during official University closures.
