Title: Corporate Accounting Manager
Reporting to: Assistant Corporate Controller
Department: General & Administrative – Corporate Accounting
Quickbase is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead general ledger, AP/T&E, and treasury functions while developing a team of 4. Ideal for a candidate with SaaS and NetSuite experience looking to scale processes in a high-growth environment.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Manager will lead a high-performing team, oversee core accounting functions, ensure compliance, and drive process efficiencies. This is a key role for someone ready to step into a broader leadership roles as the company scales.
The role is primarily remote, with 1-2 in-office days per month in Boston for key meetings, team collaboration, and events.
You’ll help optimize systems, drive automation and cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, growing SaaS environment.
Functional Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4, including 2 staff and 2 senior accountants
• Foster a high-performing, collaborative culture focused on learning, innovation, and shared ownership.
Accounting Operations & Close:
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, with timely, accurate and GAAP reporting.
• Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations, (e.g. cash, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany, and accruals)
• Oversee international accounting consolidations and compliance with local regulations
• Ensure compliance with lender reporting and debt covenants
Accounts Payable & Treasury:
• Manage AP and T&E processes (Navan),
• Oversee treasury functions, including payment cycles, cash forecasting, and liquidity
Systems & Process Improvement:
• Optimize NetSuite and financial systems to improve reporting and controls
• Identify and implement AI-driven process enhancements
Cross-Functional & Strategic Projects:
• Partner with FP&A, Legal and other teams to support financial reporting accuracy and strategic initiatives
• Support external audits with timely documentation
• Assist with M&A activity, due diligence, and process integration as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Experience with general ledger, close, and reconciliations
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Preferred:
• CPA or pursuing certification
• SaaS or high-growth tech industry experience
• Big 4 or public accounting background
