    We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Staff Mechanical Engineer to join a leading Company located in theSyracuse, NYsurrounding area.

     

    Salary: 90k - 157k

     

    Designing a heat exchanger is a critical process that combines principles of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics to create an efficient system for transferring heat between two fluids. Here's how an engineer might describe the fundamental steps involved in heat exchanger design, focusing on heat transfer principles and exchanger configuration rather than CFD modeling.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + + Manage technology development programs and deliver on-time solutions to internal customers. Including technology transfer activities related to ongoing global engineering transformation activities.

    + Apply state-of-art design and simulation tools to optimize heat exchanger performance with a focus on compact heat exchangers and electronics cooling.

    + Drive continuous improvement in the methods and tools used to design heat exchangers.

    + Develop, validate, and deploy new heat exchanger technologies for current and growing range of products, including electronics cooling.

    + Identify and pursue innovation opportunities that improve efficiency , cost, reliability, and competitiveness of products.

    + Lend expertise to cross-functional product development teams to ensure the successful insertion of new technologies in products .

    Basic Hiring Criteria:

    + Bachelor's Degree in engineering with 7+ years of engineering experience OR Master's Degree in engineering with 5+ years of engineering experience OR Ph.D. degree in engineering with 3+ years of engineering experience

    + Strong modeling and simulation capabilities with a focus on heat exchangers and thermodynamic systems

    + Experience lending expertise to cross-functional product development teams

    + Ability to drive continuous improvement in the methods and tools used to design heat exchangers.
