    Warehouse Coordinator Inventory

    PURPOSE:

    The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating warehouse activities for Inventory control, Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), scrap management programs, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure compliant, effective, and efficient warehouse and logistics operations. The scope of the role encompasses the strategic programs for warehouse & logistics functions for biologics development and clinical or commercial manufacturing facilities at the Berkeley site.

    YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The primary responsibilities of this role, Warehouse Coordinator:

    Inventory Control

    + Lead periodic inventory counts/spot checks of material to ensure inventory accuracy & control in SAP.

    + Manage cycle count process including timely data entry in SAP, reissue counts for variances, and initiating/preparing the cycle count reconciliation sheet if variances exist.

    + Create and maintain the WMM Master Data in SAP for all raw materials and perform SAP transactions.

    + Generate and maintain reports in SAP for incomplete or stale transactions. Reconcile: TO’s from the previous day; outstanding TRs; system inventory bins and coordinate cleanup.

    Scrap Management:

    + ·Manage the process to discard all materials including initiating, tracking, storing, and maintaining all Material Write-Off documents sitewide as per site archiving procedures.

    + Perform all scrapping transactions in SAP and verify all SAP transactions.

    Vendor Managed Inventory

    + Ensure the VMI program is followed according to the contract. Act as main contact and host for VMI contractors.

    + Responsible for getting contractors trained on assigned procedures and training

    + Perform walk-throughs of the supported areas to ensure compliance and safety requirements are met.

    + Safety: Support Behavioral Based Safety Program and ensure adherence to safety priorities.

    + Quality & Compliance: Drives Quality mindset through ownership and self-assessments. Continuously seek opportunities for improving overall compliance and discrepancies.

    + Ensure determination of root causes of discrepancies and write-offs and implementation of effective corrective actions to minimize them. Ensure adherence of operational process activities to applicable corporate policies, global Bayer Directives, and multi-site SOPs, and are cGMP compliant.

    + Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvement methodology/framework "Product Supply System" (PSS) within the Warehouse & Logistics department and contribute to the Site PSS phase progression. •

    Operations Support

    + Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound delivery appointments.

    + Manage all non-inventory managed samples/materials to be shipped and liaise with the shipping team.

    + Receive temperature monitors included with inbound shipments and provide them to QC Inspection.

    + Subject Matter Expert for scheduling/appointment booking system and responsible for training new users.

    + Receive and file Receiving Checklist and related documents included with the shipment.

    + Check materials for release to route to the destination as soon as possible.

    + Check in drivers by obtaining their licenses and ensuring they are logged into the logbook.

    + Transfer Orders – Coordinate transfer of raw materials to and from off-site facilities and support in Transfer Order (TO) creation.

    + Purchase functions – Create purchase requisitions for services and material purchases, coordinate invoices, and order operational supplies as needed.

    + Support the implementation of a ‘fit for future’ warehouse strategy, warehouse control systems, and procedures according to the cGMP guidelines.

    WHO YOU ARE

    Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

    Required Qualification:

    + High School Diploma or GED equivalent

    + Understanding OSHA, GMP, ISO, FDA, and DOT regulations

    + Proficient in computer skills – including Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Outlook Excel, Teams) and good working knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management System.

    + Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally at Qualification & Competencies: all levels of the organization.

    + Has satisfactory interpersonal skills with a team-orient mindset.

    + Organizational skills to coordinate and support all phases of the operations.

    + Able to work independently/self-directed with minimal supervision. Strong ability to plan and prioritize complex and conflicting activities.

    + Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities and solutions

    + Highly committed, determined, and results-driven and persists in the face of challenges and setbacks. Committed to quality and safety as a fundamental component of how work is accomplished

    + Strong analytical skills to identify risks and prepare balanced decisions; Is self-aware and learns from others.

    + Personifies the values of the company both internally and externally. Act with integrity, honesty, and transparency, always. Treating each other with transparency, fairness, and respect.

    + Knowledge of Process Improvement methodologies (E.g. Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) a plus.

    + Physical Qualifications: Wear protective clothing (PPE) as required. Identify color-coded labels. Meet Occupational Demands/Physical Requirement checklist.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of warehouse/logistics experience in pharmaceutical operations, preferably biotech, or Associate’s or Completed commercial vocational training with 6+ yrs of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 4+ yrs of relevant experience.

    + APICS certification is a plus.

    + Experience in a union environment is preferred.

     

    Employees can expected to be paid between $64,500 to 96,800 Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.

     

    This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
