    What you’ll do as a Sr GIS Drafter Designer

    + Create, modify and review technical drawings, GIS/CAD maps and plans based upon customer requirements

    + Create and provide revised GIS/CAD drawings and maps based on feedback and markup. Maintain drawing and map files and documentation

    + Plans, designs, prepares GIS/CAD maps and drawings and obtains permits, pole attachment and/or pole loading agreements (PTAs) for new or existing underground and aerial cable routes

    + Reviews field notes to provide engineering overlay and appropriate engineering and construction notes

    + Engages daily with the company design team, GIS team, as well as in-house project management staff to ensure customer congruency and construction efficiency

    + Maintains safe working habits and conditions per company policy

    + Other duties as assigned.

    What you’ll need

    + High School Diploma or GED; related 2-year degree preferred

    + 3 - 5 years of experience is required

    + Working knowledge of the telecommunications industry standards, practices and regulations pertaining to theengineering of fiber optic outside plant facilities

    + Working knowledge of GIS data (parcel, state, county, city boundaries, easements, right of way)

    + Ability to read and understand GIS maps and CAD drawings

    + Knowledge of aerial and underground construction methods and engineering requirements

    + Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro/AutoCAD/Microstation or similar GIS or CAD drafting software

    + Remote or Office Position

    Salary Range $24 - $30 Hr
