POSITION SUMMARY:
COTA's Lead Data Analyst will support the design and development of data integrations and reporting to enhance the accuracy and quality of decision making. Key functions include conducting in-depth data analysis, collaborating with database developers to enhance data collection and storage procedures, and developing and maintaining data integrations and ETL flows.
Performs other duties in alignment with the COTA Strategic Plan and in support of the organization's vision to Move Every Life Forward.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
+ Lead analyses from requirements gathering/problem statement through deployment or presentation, fully understanding business processes and objectives, underlying data and relevant factors
+ Independently manage analytics projects and provides regular and clear updates
+ Synthesize complex analyses into clear narratives to facilitate understanding and decision making
+ Support the design and implementation of integration flows and enhancements, including APIs and/or file-based integrations
+ Work cross-functionally to identify opportunities and build solutions to optimize data processing, improve data quality, identify issues and reduce failures
+ Gather data from primary or secondary data sources to identify and interpret trends
+ Create robust (advanced and/or statistical) analysis and communicate findings to management to inform business decisions and prioritize information system needs
+ Support Quality Assurance/Quality Control to ensure a quality level that meets COTA's requirements , monitor ing data systems to ensure data quality
+ Collaborate with other business analysts and project team members across the department and on other projects to share knowledge and experience that can be leveraged for cross - project purposes or for improvement in the data quality process in general
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
+ + Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics or related field
+ Four (4) years of experience in data analysis
+ An advanced degree in data science, statistics, mathematics or a related field is strongly preferred
+ Analytics and Six-Sigma certifications preferred
+ Extensive knowledge of data analysis techniques and experience in a similar role
+ B ackground of data analysis expertise result ing in reliable information for company executives
+ Demonstrated expertise in advanced statistics, o perations r esearch, mathematical modeling and statistical forecasting
+ Demonstrated application of advanced Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies
+ Experience with ETL tools, Snowflake and AWS
+ Expertise in Python, R or similar
+ Expert in Excel, SQL, PowerBI and/or related tools
+ Experience with standard software development project management processes (SDLC, waterfall, RUP, agile, etc.) and/or b usiness i ntelligence d evelopment
+ Highly skilled in verbal and written communication to an e xecutive audience using PowerPoint and other presentation mediums
