We are seeking a seasoned _Supply Chain Manager_ to join our **Water & Protection** division on a full-time, direct basis at our office in Midland, MI. We would also consider having this position based in the Wilmington, DE area as well.
This person will be part of the division’s Integrated Operations leadership team and will have global responsibility with a focus on our **Shelter Solutions** business; this involves partnering with the Shelter Solutions business team to incorporate the overall business strategy into the direction of supply chain initiatives. This role is accountable for integrating business, corporate, and functional improvement strategies into executable supply chain action plans as well as following through on the completion of those action plans. This person will lead the organization in the translation of business, region, product and/or asset plans into strategic full-cycle supply chain plans while covering key steps (i.e.: plan, source, make, and deliver). Additionally, this person will lead supply chain strategy & execution alignment / prioritization across Integrated Operations by driving End-to-End Supply Chain performance that delivers competitive advantage for the business while leading in a manner that is open and transparent, constructive, collaborative and responsive to the business and integrated functions. This person will also be expected to serve as a _Champion_ for change by seeking opportunities for innovative approaches that address problems & opportunities while partnering with Sourcing and Logistics functions to ensure holistic improvement in customer service levels.
This person will manage an extensive global supply network globally across both internal & external manufacturing for Corian® Design (Solid Surface & Quartz) as well as Performance Building Solutions (Styrofoam™, Thermax™, GREAT STUFF™, Froth-Pak™ and Tyvek® Building Envelopes). The Shelter Solutions business currently has fourteen internal manufacturing sites and seventy-eight contract manufacturing locations.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Lead Supply Chain strategy development while executing alignment and prioritization across the business, Supply Chain, and Operations (using Operations and Commercial Excellence principles).
+ Identify and anticipate gaps in long-term capacity & competitiveness and develop prioritized options for gap closure; this involves developing and maintaining assessments of competitive position for key supply chains in a focused & insightful manner.
+ Establish Key Performance Indicators [KPI’s] and communication processes aligned with the Integrated Operations vision as well as established deliverables, business priorities, and global competitive benchmarking.
+ Manage the intersection of supply chain functional issues & opportunities with operations plans & actions.
+ Serve as an _Active Partner_ in setting business strategy and priorities.
+ Lead a team that is responsible for the selection, evaluation, and performance management of contract manufacturers.
+ Review organizational design to optimize efficiency while supporting business objective delivery; this involves championing customer focus & service within Integrated Operations.
+ Ensure smooth functioning of end-to-end supply chains through effective resourcing, planning processes, and business integration.
+ Lead value capture from business transformation projects via implementation and continuous improvement of product wheels, analytical inventory targets, postponement, tool usage, etc.
+ Drive adherence to (and implement improvements to) business rules & policies.
+ Guide the creation of effective new supply chains and product launch processes that are integrated with New Product Development [NPD] priorities.
+ Identify strategic and tactical options to enhance Supply Chain performance, flexibility, reliability, quality and competitive advantage while also reducing risks.
+ Lead identification and prioritization of risk reduction opportunities while establishing clear priorities and supporting effective resourcing to drive improvement with our core values (Safety and Health, Respect for People, Highest Ethical Behavior, and Protecting the Planet).
+ Oversee robust processes for development & deployment of critical skills; this includes ensuring proficiency in ERP business planning via appropriate tools & processes.
+ Serve as an _Active Partner_ and _Contributor_ for capability development processes in Manufacturing, Technology, and EH&S by leveraging strengths and addressing gaps.
+ Establish and guide performance partnership standards across all supply chains.
+ Drive effectiveness and efficiency while championing and/or supporting standard work roles in supply chain (i.e.: Global and Regional Supply Chain Managers, Master Planners, Master Schedulers, Contract Manufacturing Managers, etc.).
+ Lead global communication processes to connect each site / operations role with business objectives, priorities, and progress (as it relates to the Supply Chain).
+ Lead / execute communications that integrate Operations performance tracking and opportunity development into the business strategy & management process.
+ Lead the Supply step of our Integrated Business Planning process.
+ Champion improvement culture, especially with tools and processes that accelerate improvement.
+ Accountable for delivering productivity in the supply chains by utilizing best practices & appropriate metrics to increase visibility and impact of projects.
+ Actively guide Integrated Operations priorities by leveraging & development capability to achieve business objectives and targeted competitive positioning; this involves developing new updates / processes to ensure competitiveness of supply networks (in comparison to industry benchmarks).
+ Work with our Six Sigma organization to drive Continuous Improvement across the End-to-End Supply Chain.
+ This person will be expected to travel for work, as needed (up to 25%).
+ Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field of study.
+ 10+ years of professional experience working in Industrial Operations and/or Supply Chain Management.
+ 2+ years of professional experience working in a managerial / supervisory role (with formal staff leadership responsibilities).
+ ASCM / APICS CSCP or CPIM certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Proven expertise with Supply Chain Technology, Trends, and Benchmarks (especially for process-manufacturing environments).
+ Prior background / experience with Change Management, especially with business transformation and strategic projects.
+ Experience working across multiple business units and functions (e.g.: Operations, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Logistics, Marketing, Project Leadership, Information Technology, etc.).
+ Exposure to working in various business functions (e.g.: Product Management, Quality, Sales, etc.); prior exposure to Operations Management as well as market-facing responsibilities is a plus!
+ Proven expertise with Operational Excellence [OpEx] / Continuous Improvement; relevant credentials (e.g.: Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing) is a plus!
+ Advanced proficiency with Advanced Manufacturing / Advanced Planning & Scheduling [APS] technologies; experience with SAP APO and/or R3 tools is a plus!
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Proven ability to operate in a self-driven, highly-organized, hands-on, and adaptable manner; this person is expected to flourish in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead development efforts; this person will be expected to inspire and motivate others while establishing effective processes and controls.
+ Proven ability to display excellent organizational and project management skills.
+ Advanced networking and influencing skills; this person is expected to earn broad-based credibility with internal & external shareholders.
+ Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
