    What you’ll do: 

     

    The Emergency Communication Registered Nurse/Emergency Medical Services instructor provides ECRN instruction and education to registered nurses. Educates and trains providers of pre-hospital care and health care professionals in related fields. Develops continuing educational packets for all pre-hospital providers on a monthly basis.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Develops and organizes ECRN courses and continuing education materials.

    + Ensures quality assurance in EMS education and participates in department and regional meetings.

    + Maintains a learning environment aligned with current EMS practices.

    + Collaborates with colleagues to deliver continuing education and support adult learning.

    + Assists with special projects, equipment planning, and maintaining medical supplies.

    + Works closely with the EMS Medical Director and department personnel.

    + Communicates effectively while maintaining confidentiality.

    What you’ll need for this job:

    Education

    Required: Bachelor’s Degree

     

    Preferred: Master’s Degree

     

    Specify Degree(s) In Nursing

    Minimum Experience:

    Required: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience

     

    Preferred: 6-10 years of previous job-related experience

    Licensure/Certifications:

    Required:

    + ACLS (Advanced Cardio Life Support Certified)

    + Basic Life Support (CPR)

    + Nursing - Current Registered Nurse License State of Illinois Emergency Communication Registered Nurse State of Illinois

    + Licensed as EMS Lead Instructor State of Illinois within 6 months of hire

    Preferred:

    + PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

    Compensation:

    Pay Range: $29.58- $45.85 per hour

     

    _Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles._
