    Job Summary:

    Southwest Cardiothoracic Surgeons and Medical City Plano are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant to join our dynamic and growing Cardiothoracic Surgery team.

    Qualified Candidates:

    + NCCPA Board Certification required

    + Minimum of 2 years of CT Surgery experience preferred

    + Ability to first assist in a variety of cardiothoracic procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, thoracic and robotic cases

    + Proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH)

    + Comfortable managing pre- and post-operative care

    + Experienced in ICU management, hospital rounding, and outpatient clinic support

    + Ability to interpret diagnostic tests and formulate treatment plans

    + Current Texas PA license or ability to obtain prior to start

    + Monday–Friday schedule with rotating weekend and night call

    + Shared responsibility for inpatient consults, OR, ICU, and clinic coverage
