Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Woodbridge, New Jersey. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your career in financial operations. Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices accurately, including those related to products and freight.

• Review shipping documents to identify and address damages or overages before vendor payments are issued.

• Perform account and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.

• Assist in preparing journal entries and related documentation.

• Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure smooth operations.

• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

• At least 1 year of relevant accounting experience is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, functions, and vlookups.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.

• Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
