Duties Description Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center is recruiting Teachers to provide educational instruction to individuals with mental illness during the summer session; July 1, 2025 – August 23, 2025. This is a temporary position.As a Teacher, you will teach elementary, secondary, or special subjects including:• Preparing course and unit outlines, lesson plans, and individual education plans• Evaluating and documenting individuals’ performance and progress • Collaborating with treatment team to work toward treatment goals and objectives
Minimum Qualifications Teacher 2 – Current New York State Education Department initial certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty.Teacher 3 – Current New York State Education Department permanent/professional certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty.Teacher 4 - Current New York State Education Department permanent/professional certification in classroom teaching in the appropriate specialty and 2 years of post-certification (initial or permanent/professional) teaching experience in that same specialty.
