Description
• Support the development and implementation of best practices related to inventory management and material control
• Lead expediting and lead-time reduction activities to exceed customer expectations and drive the industry’s best-in-class Customer fill-rate
• Analyze usage, sales, market trends, and price trends in order to make recommendations and proactively drive cost reduction and efficiency initiatives
• Support supplier negotiations and review of supply contracts, agreements, lead-times, delivery methods, quality requirements, cost reduction, etc.
• Lead quality efforts with all vendors to drive the industry’s best-in-class PPM
• Proactively participate in the vendor review, audit, and evaluation program and Supplier Corrective Action Report process
• Drives continuous improvement results in current purchasing procedures, always focusing on the elimination of waste and non-value added activities
• Maintains purchasing documents, files and records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines
• Assists the Procurement Manager in all Purchasing activities and special projects
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
• Complete additional duties as assigned
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
