Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will plan, manage, and coordinate engineering design work, applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for electrical loads. You will also assist the Sales team in preparing technical proposals and pricing for engineered power systems orders.

Responsibilities

+ Interpret customer-supplied specifications, drawings, and one-line diagrams for solution development and cost estimates.

+ Design and develop the best cost/performance products.

+ Manage design packages to the Drafting department.

+ Generate test procedures and manuals required with the product.

+ Work with Assembly, Procurement, and field technicians during build, test, or start-up to resolve issues.

+ Coordinate engineering response and action plans.

+ Work as part of a project team to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable designs.

+ Support the maintenance of documentation via engineering change procedures.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

+ 3+ years of experience in developing and creating new products in the electromechanical products space.

+ Experience with OEM electrical design activities, preferably in power design, generation, distribution, or protection.

+ Experience working with industrial equipment.

+ Knowledge of ERP systems.

+ Experience in power conversion, electrical systems, switchgear, utility, electrical construction, substation, generators.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience designing in the electrical testing space.

+ Experience designing to UL, CSA, NEC, and other safety agency requirements.

Work Environment

This position is based in an office environment currently attached to a manufacturing floor, with plans to relocate to a new office location in the coming months. You will be part of a team of other engineers, spending 90% of your day at a desk and 10% on the manufacturing floor.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $63.00/hr.
