Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob Description

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for engaging with customers and collaborating with sales, manufacturing, and purchasing teams to design and layout optimal electrical enclosures, including UL and NEMA 3R, 4X styles, as well as new products and non-UL enclosure business.

Responsibilities

+ Engage with customers to understand their needs and requirements for electrical enclosures.

+ Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and purchasing teams to develop optimal designs.

+ Design and layout UL and NEMA 3R, 4X and similar-style electrical enclosures.

+ Work on new product designs and non-UL enclosure business.

+ Repair and maintain electrical systems using AutoCAD Electrical.

+ Create electrical schematics, interconnect wiring diagrams, and panel drawing designs.

+ Follow diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate design and implementation.

Essential Skills

+ Experience designing to UL508A standards.

+ Working knowledge of diagrams, blueprints, and interrupt specifications.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for designing electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

+ 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering or electro-mechanical design of industrial equipment.

+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2+ years of experience using AutoCAD Electrical for panel drawing design.

+ Experience with SolidWorks and/or AutoDesk Inventor, with 3D modeling as a plus.

+ Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Work Environment

The role involves working with a team of electrical engineers, including four mechanical and one electrical engineer, in an office setting with floor communication. Demonstrated ability to work well with deadlines is essential, as typical projects may take a few days to a week using existing reference designs, while special projects can take months. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.74 - $32.69/hr.
