Job Title: Lab Computing Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Lab Computing Analyst to join our dynamic lab IT service team. The ideal candidate will provide critical support to our laboratory IT environments, ensuring seamless integration with instrumentation and adherence to corporate policies.
Responsibilities
+ Implement, monitor, and provide technical support for customer laboratory IT environments, typically integrated with instrumentation.
+ Implement customer-specified benchtop computing designs and processes.
+ Administer and ensure connectivity of customers' Windows-based platforms.
+ Support operating systems, desktop hardware, peripherals, instrument-controlled software, core desktop applications, and computer imaging.
+ Manage the onboarding, retirement, and relocation of equipment.
+ Implement Windows-based security measures including user/group permissions, file/folder permissions, group policies, and local security policies.
+ Analyze, identify, and implement enhancements, upgrades, and solutions to improve desktop platform support.
+ Ensure adherence to corporate policies through periodic reporting and compliance programs.
+ Act as the technical support contact for instrument vendors.
+ Repair and troubleshoot instrument-related computers and escalate issues to the client infrastructure teams.
+ Provide technical support for new system validations and change management efforts.
+ Create and maintain a physical inventory of lab equipment, PCs, software, and other specified information.
+ Submit weekly Engineer reports to the team lead by COB on the last business day of the week.
+ Act as the point of contact for software/hardware-related inquiries.
+ Participate in team support across all practices as required.
+ Demonstrate appropriate use of office equipment/software after training.
+ Maintain training and compliance in health and safety, security, environmental, and operational aspects of daily activities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree with two plus years of technical experience OR Associate's Degree with three plus years of technical experience OR High School Diploma or equivalent with five plus years of technical experience.
+ Experience with technologies including Microsoft Office, networking, remote computing, and backup systems.
+ Experience with scientific instrumentation.
+ Experience in a Life Science environment.
+ Experience in a validated environment.
+ Experience working in GxP, ISO, and FDA compliant facilities.
*IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL COME FROM THE LAB BUT IS LOOKING TO GET OUT OF THE LAB AND MORE INTO AN IT BASED ROLE*
Work Environment
The work environment includes laboratory-controlled settings where personal protective equipment such as lab coats and safety glasses are required. The pace may be fast, and job completion demands may be high. The role requires the ability to remain stationary for more than 25% of the time, move between labs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities such as close-range observation, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are needed. The employee may need to handle hazardous waste and complete Medical Clearance, Respiratory Protection Training, and Fit Testing for respirator use.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
