    Description

    In this rewarding role, you’ll travel to clients’ homes using your own vehicle to assist with essential daily activities such as bathing, grooming, personal hygiene, and light housekeeping. You’ll play a vital part in helping clients maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life—all while being supported by a team that values your skills and heart for service. There are no assigned regions for this position. The schedule is primarily based on the client/patient need and the staff will be scheduled in all areas island-wide based on operational need.

     

    Provide personal care services such as bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and dressing assistance.

     

    Is comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill

     

    Support mobility and physical activity, including ambulation and range-of-motion exercises.

     

    Perform light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and laundry to maintain a safe and clean environment.

     

    Assist with non-sterile dressing changes and catheter care as directed.

     

    Deliver and retrieve medical supplies and equipment as needed.

     

    Offer post-mortem care and emotional support to families when appropriate.

     

    Educate and demonstrate care techniques to family members or caregivers when necessary.

     

    Maintain accurate communication with supervising staff regarding changes in client condition.

     

    Adhere to safety protocols, infection control procedures, and privacy regulations.

     

    Participate in required training sessions and compliance activities.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    Educational Requirements:

    High School Graduate or equivalent.

     

    Certificate of completion of a State of Hawaii certified Nurse’s Aide course (100 hours).

     

    State of Hawaii Nurse Aide Certification, preferred but not required

    Skills Required:

    Good communication skills, with ability to speak and write in English and clearly/effectively communicate.

     

    Good customer service and interpersonal skills with ability to be patient, maintain composure and interact with customers with courtesy, tact and discretion.

     

    Dexterity in handling equipment and instruments.

     

    Ability to work independently

     

    Valid driver's license for the State of Hawaii required

     

    Reliable personal car available for work

     

    Must possess the required automobile insurance coverage and satisfactory driving record.

     

    Current CPR certification

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $47736.00 - $53040.00/yr.
