We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Process Improvement Specialist to lead and support initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and quality across industrial, logistics, and support environments. This role involves conducting complex process analyses, implementing lean methodologies, and leveraging data analytics to drive measurable improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).
Responsibilities
+ Perform in-depth process analyses to identify and eliminate waste across manufacturing, logistics, and support functions.
+ Design, review, and implement process enhancement strategies that align with organizational goals.
+ Apply industrial engineering principles to optimize systems involving people, processes, materials, and equipment.
+ Lead initiatives in process mapping, value stream mapping, and lean process design.
+ Provide regular status updates and actionable recommendations to teams and leadership.
+ Develop and improve integrated systems through planning, mapping, and redesign of workflows and organizational structures.
+ Conduct computational analysis and create tools for automating business processes, data collection, and dashboard development to enhance team performance.
+ Evaluate work tasks for ergonomic compliance and safety, including assessments of climbing, crane operations, forklift driving, shop processes, warehousing, and extreme environments.
+ Support work breakdown structure (WBS) development, resource leveling, and task analysis. Assist in determining grade levels and skill requirements for various roles.
Essential Skills
+ Proven experience in one or more sub-specialties of industrial engineering, such as data analytics, facilities planning and workflow design, operations research, statistical quality control, systems analysis/simulation, supply chain and logistics, human-system integration/ergonomics, production/operations processes, systems engineering and optimization.
+ Strong knowledge of lean principles, value stream mapping, and the theory of constraints.
+ Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering from an ABET accredited University.
+ Experience in continuous improvement and process improvement.
+ Knowledge of WBS.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Analyze and map processes to evaluate existing logistics and supply chain processes, identify inefficiencies, create detailed process maps, and pinpoint bottlenecks.
+ Collect and analyze data related to logistics operations, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and use insights to guide decision-making.
+ Apply lean principles to streamline operations and foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and refining processes.
+ Develop and implement new systems or processes to enhance logistics operations and improve efficiency, such as in inventory management or order fulfillment.
+ Lead projects aimed at improving logistical operations, ensuring timely implementation, and developing strategies to mitigate potential risks.
+ Evaluate and integrate new technologies or software solutions, and provide training to staff on new processes to ensure effective adoption.
+ Work with cross-functional teams and external partners to align improvements with business goals and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
+ Utilize a variety of software tools, including process simulation, diagramming, visualization, and data analysis software, to effectively design, analyze, and optimize industrial processes.
Work Environment
The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7 am to 4 pm in an engineering office setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.
