POSITION: Team Leader

JOB DUTIES:
Job is partially remote - telecommuting option for 3 days per week
+ Plans and supervises a small (typically fewer than 8) team of staff.
+ Works with the Software Program/Project Manager and team members to identify and organize the best approach to executing the tasks required for the project.
+ Ensures that his/her team follows the applicable Product Development Process and adheres to all of the relevant Standards and Procedures.
+ Delivers the sub-system or sub-elements in time and at the necessary level of quality so as to respect the parent project requirements, timeline and budget.
+ Provides technical documentation from the team that describes proven solutions for the project, including design files, technical drawings and specifications documents as required by the EMS management system.
+ Monitors and guides good working practices relating to QHSE, technical rigour, professional behavior and performance of the assigned team.
+ Maintains the necessary level of expertise for self and team through training and development as appropriate for the execution of the project.
+ With the Software Program/Project Manager, sets annual objectives and performs regular appraisals of performance for the assigned team.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Information Technology or related field
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years’ experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation working with web services, Java, Go, Python as well as experience with container or virtualization technologies. Experience with microservices architecture, networking topologies and common network protocols and services (HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMPT). Experience with Kubernetes, and cloud development experience, using GCP, Azure and AWS. Experience with security concepts such as identity management, https certification and identity federation, and RESTFUL API design. Experience with Linux, bash scripting and Agile development practices.
ALTERNATE REQUIREMENTS:
