Job Description

Come work as an Innovation Lead at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. to enhance our Developer Experience Center of Excellence (DevEx CoE) – a collaborative effort to drive the future of how we build software by removing barriers to productivity, fostering collaboration, and accelerating innovation .

What Will You Do?

Lead evaluation, piloting, and scaling of new tools to improve engineering efficiency. Bridge solutions with internal teams for successful adoption and continuous improvement.

Tool Evaluation & Innovation Strategy

+ Support and accelerate the expansion of a standardized SPDLC modernization roadmap.

+ Develop and evaluate innovative tools that showcase groundbreaking improvements across the development lifecycle.

+ Implement measurable metrics to track progress and the impact of developer experience initiatives.

Program Enablement & Collaboration

+ Act as a liaison between engineering teams and external vendors to ensure external innovations address internal needs.

+ Assist in crafting and implementing measurable proof-of-concept (POC) experiments.

+ Collaborate with compliance, quality, and IT to ensure new tooling aligns with regulatory and operational requirements.

Developer Experience Advocacy

+ Support developers by collecting feedback and highlighting difficulties regarding tooling and workflows.

+ Partner with community leads to support communications, engagement, and change management.

+ Promote standard methodologies that minimize obstacles, improve development efficiency, and boost overall job happiness.

Impact Measurement & Continuous Improvement

+ Contribute to defining and tracking critical metrics that demonstrate the value of AI tool adoption and process improvement efforts.

+ Support the creation of feedback loops to enable iterative improvements based on data and direct input from end users.

How Will You Get Here?

Education Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience:

+ 7+ years in software development, developer tools, technical program management, or related roles.

+ Experience with emerging AI tools for code generation, software testing, or planning.

+ Familiarity with SPDLC workflows, Agile methodologies, and enterprise software tooling ecosystems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

+ Strong understanding of AI capabilities and their application to software engineering.

+ Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into actionable use cases and development workflows.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

+ Knowledge of compliance, security, and governance principles in enterprise software.
