**ManTech** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Senior Information Assurance Engineer** to join our team in **the DC, Maryland, Virginia (Northern) DMV area** .
The ideal candidate will apply their knowledge and experience to a variety of information assurance tasks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data. This role will involve implementing security controls, conducting assessments, and contributing to the overall security posture of our organization. Leads Assessment Team and reports directly to NOSC PM/DPM.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Implement and maintain security controls in accordance with established security policies and procedures.
+ Conduct security policy assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses in systems and networks.
+ Analyze security findings and recommend appropriate remediation actions.
+ Assist in the development and maintenance of security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs) and other compliance-related documents.
+ Participate in incident response activities, including investigating security incidents and implementing corrective actions.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security requirements into system development and operations.
+ Provide support for security audits and compliance efforts.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, or a related field.
+ 8+ years of experience in information assurance, cybersecurity, or a related field.
+ Strong understanding of security principles, concepts, and technologies.
+ Experience with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP.
+ Proficiency in conducting security assessments and vulnerability scans.
+ Knowledge of operating systems, networking, and cloud computing.
+ Ability to analyze security findings and recommend solutions.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Knowledge of specific application domains, such as incident response, digital forensics, or threat hunting.
+ Experience with security tools and technologies commonly used in SOC environments (e.g., SIEMs, IDS/IPS, firewalls).
+ Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CISA.
+ Experience with scripting and automation tools.
+ Familiarity with risk management methodologies.
Clearance Requirements:
+ Must have a current/active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD suitability is required prior to starting this position
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to work in an office environment and maneuver in data center and other IT equipment installation locations.
+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
+ Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs for distances up to 50 feet.
