Aon Benefit Experience Health Consultant
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help deliver better decisions for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Aon’s Benefit Experience (BenX) Health Strategy in our Bannockburn, IL office, or virtually throughout the United States. As a BenX Consultant, you will report directly to the Senior Vice President, Client Relationship Leader within Aon Benefit Experience.
This is a virtual role with the flexibility to work remotely anywhere in the Continental United States

What the day will look like
The BenX Consultant serves as a subject matter expert for the BenX model, best practices, legislation, sales strategy, and industry/market trends. You provide additional domain depth, increase visibility to changes with our services, and lead client renewals. The BenX Consultant actively contributes to the continuous improvement, evolution and growth of the strategy.
Client Consulting
+ Promotes the value of BenX
+ Provides Subject Matter Expertise on the BenX model:
+ Consults with clients to provide additional domain depth, increase visibility to changes with our services, improve BenX processes, and receive feedback on our model
+ Provide prevalence and market data to assist the client in decision making process (i.e. metallic choices, plan design, etc.)
+ Advocates the concepts of consumerism and choice
+ Consults client to create mutually beneficial solutions
+ Aligns to client and client leadership team to understand and assist in achieving their financial and strategic goals
+ Leads client renewals
+ Anticipates client’s needs and actively contributes to client satisfaction and retention
+ Conducts quarterly client forums - topics will include, timely BenX consulting highlights, continuing education and promoting open dialogue among clients
+ Fosters collaborative relationships with carriers and clients
+ Champions Carrier Governance for clients
+ Executes and manages client requests
Internal Partnerships
+ Serves as an expert resource to team—education and subject matter expertise for the BenX model, legislation, sales strategy, and industry and market trends
+ Increase understanding, usage and adherence to BenX Best Practices
+ Communicates key value messages with teams
+ Coaches’ client team leaders on how to consult with clients on BenX specific requirements and changes; support team in working directly with clients on complicated situations (i.e., regulatory, requirements, and prevalence discussions)
+ Partners with existing H&B consultants or leads on client strategy related to BenX
+ Leverage appropriate parties to complete client deliverables

Skills and experience that will lead to success
+ Ten plus years Health and Benefits background
+ 6+ years client experience including consulting a client during implementations and ongoing relationship management
+ Client experience with a consulting company, insurance company, brokerage or in the health and benefits or health exchange discipline
+ Ability to influence and articulate value with senior level executives
+ Strong project management and execution skills
+ Strong communication skills
+ Strong team skills
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
+ Ability to travel as needed
Education
+ Bachelor’s degree required
+ Active life and health insurance license preferred
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $140,000-$160,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
