Join Our Team as a Full-Time Occupational Therapist at UPMC Muncy
Are you passionate about helping others regain independence and improve their quality of life? UPMC Muncy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate **Occupational Therapist** to join our team full-time. This role offers a consistent schedule from **7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.** , including participation in a **weekend and holiday rotation** .
About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist at UPMC Muncy, you will provide expert assessment and treatment services to patients across a variety of settings within the Rehabilitation Institute. You’ll work with a diverse patient population and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. This position also offers opportunities to contribute to clinical education and research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
+ Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
+ Deliver evidence-based therapy to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
+ Supervise and collaborate with occupational therapy assistants to ensure effective patient care.
+ Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
+ Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members regarding patient progress.
+ Provide patient and family education, including home exercise programs and care instructions.
+ Participate in student supervision and clinical education programs as needed.
+ Stay current with licensure requirements through ongoing professional development and continuing education.
+ Rotate through various treatment areas to support organizational needs.
+ Attend staff meetings and in-service training sessions to stay informed and engaged.

EDUCATIONAL/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited program approved by The Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Active license in practicing state required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
+ Occupational Therapist (OT)
