    Job Description: Reliability Centered Maintenance Manager

     

    The GPI Irvine Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Managerdirects and controls the activities of the maintenance department to ensure that all production and support equipment is maintained at levels which are as efficient and reliable as possible. Ensures that the facility itself is maintained and is a safe work environment.

     

    Areas of Responsibility

    The RCM Manager is responsible for but not limited to performing the following tasks:

    + Provide direct supervision, technical direction, administrative support, and leadership for the maintenance department

    + Ensures machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate

    + Manage plant-wide maintenance and capital, maximizing asset reliability, uptime, and cost effectiveness with available resources

    + Assist HS&E Manager with plant environmental programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations

    + Support and manage the RCM process in the plant, as well as, in the Division, ensuring application and advancement of the RCM process.

    + Provide long-range planning for facility and equipment needs including capital and major repairs

    + Develops, implements, and oversees predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance programs

    + Coaches and develops training plans for all maintenance technicians

    + Supervises the Maintenance Technicians, Storeroom, and Project Engineer.

    + Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and to act consistently with our core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork

    + Performs all other duties as assigned

    Food Safety

    + Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.

    + Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.

    + Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.

    + Reporting of any customer complaints to persons responsible to enter into GPI’s Customer Complaint system for root cause analysis and appropriate corrective action taken.

    + Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).

    + Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.

    Education and Experience

    + Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred

    + 5-10 years maintenance experience preferred including:

    + Computer Maintenance Management Systems (preferably SAP)

    + Planning and Scheduling

    + Preventative/Predictive/Precision Maintenance

    + Central Stores Management

    + Reliability Engineering

    + Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or managment experience

    + Proven track record of identifying opportunities and the ability to recommend and implement improvements

    + Project Management

    + Leader with exceptional communication skills, good organization, and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization

    + Previous environmental experience is a plus

     

    Physical Demands

     

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift or carry 10 to 35 pounds and occasionally required to lift or carry 36 to 50 pounds. Weights above this require team lifting.

     

    Work Environment

     

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is regularly exposed to dust, heat, cold, vibration, and potential work hazards. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Personal Protective Equipment is required at all times.

     

    Pay Range:** **$123,280.00** - **$164,335.00
