    How you make a difference

     

    The **Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS)** plays a key role in organizing, implementing, and delivering daily services to individuals served. With a keen eye on treatment plans, the MHRS ensures that these plans are effectively carried out by staff and provides on-the-spot mentoring to foster excellence. This position guarantees compliance with department protocols and facility standards, while coordinating smooth operations and activities within the department. The MHRS empowers the team, helping to ensure that each shift runs efficiently and that individuals receive the high-quality care they deserve.

    Key Responsibilities

    + **Direct Care Services** : Provides direct care services to assigned individuals served, ensuring their well-being and progress.

    + **Employee Support** : Offers technical assistance, training, support, and coaching to unit employees to enhance performance and service quality.

    + **Treatment Planning** : Participates in treatment planning, crisis intervention, and group interventions to address the needs of individuals served.

    + **Documentation Compliance** : Documents the delivery of services in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

    + **Crisis Intervention** : Responds to crisis situations and participates in intervention processes to maintain a safe and supportive environment for individuals served.

     

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Education:

    + Required: Bachelor’s degree.

    + Preferred: M.A. or M.S. in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or related field.

    Experience:

    + Required: Four (4) years' experience. Up to two years of graduate professional education may be substituted for the experience requirement on a year–to–year basis; up to two years of post-associate arts clinical experience may be substituted for the required education.

    + Preferred: Minimum of (6) months experience with a mental health population.
