    Description:

    The Vice President of Operations of the Medical Group will have oversight for all matters related to provider performance and overall Medical Group service line operations. The VP will enhance a culture that promotes the highest quality of care. This executive leader will build a cohesive, high-performing medical group that is focused on service excellence, patient-centered care and continuous improvement. Through the development of successful performance improvement standards and practices, the Vice President, Operations will succeed in creating a highly attractive practice environment for physicians and advanced practice clinicians. The VP of Operations will be committed to a culture that is supportive of physicians and fosters their professional development.

     

    The VP will be responsible for designing patient care processes that deliver better care and better health, efficiently and at lower cost. The Vice President will exemplify the vision to listen, partner and make it easy.

     

    + Serves as a member of the Senior Management Team providing assistance in developing and implementing Medical Group policies and procedures. Provides consistent positive leadership in the discharge of responsibilities acting as an informed decision maker, capitalizing on opportunities and taking the initiative in the furtherance of the mission and vision.

    + Maintains programs and practices ensuring compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies.

    + Oversee delivery of practice operations management, and collaborate with financial support, and human resource services to practices and Acute care physician services through either direct or matrix supervision of managers. Responsible for the overall operation of the Medical Group including quality and efficiency of patient care, financial performance and activities that relate to the future growth of the organization, e.g., strategic planning and marketing.

    + Coordinate development of specific programs/services within each area of oversight and develop specific goals/outcomes.

    + Monitor practice and acute care physician service line financial results and work to achieve budgeted results through continuing process improvement and colleague education.

    + Serve as liaison between employed physicians and leadership through interaction and collaboration with appropriate practice staff, physicians and administrative leaders for discussing and resolving operational, clinical and financial issues.

    Requirements:

    + Master's Degree (required)

    + 10+ years of progressive leadership experience managing a multi-specialty clinically integrated physician group and practice operations.

    + Strong understanding and proficiency in the use of metrics and measures in managing programs and services.

    + Excellent analytical, tactical, execution and organizational abilities required to conceptualize well in unstructured, fast-paced, dynamic and multi-functional environments. Ability to think strategically, analytically and tactically.
