A day in the life of a Sr. Merchandiser, Womens Icons Footwear at Vans looks a little like this.
The Merchandising Manager for Women's Sneakers and Casual Footwear at Vans will lead the execution of seasonal product strategies, ensuring alignment with global and regional objectives. This role involves acting as a key consumer advocate, refining assortments based on market trends and insights. The manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product creation and go-to-market strategies while analyzing business performance to optimize sales and margins. Additionally, they will mentor Associate and Assistant Merchandisers to ensure smooth execution of merchandising deliverables.

+ Drive the execution of the seasonal product strategy, ensuring alignment with global and regional business objectives
+ Act as a key consumer advocate, leveraging insights and market trends to refine assortments and influence product decisions.
+ Manage seasonal line plans, ensuring a balanced assortment that meets financial targets while maintaining brand consistency.
+ Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Design, Development, Planning, Marketing, and Sales) to drive product creation, commercialization, and go-to-market strategies.
+ Analyze business performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and recommending in-season actions to drive sales and margin.
+ Mentor and guide Associate and Assistant Merchandisers, fostering skill development and ensuring smooth execution of merchandising deliverables.
What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5+ years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
+ Strong understanding of analytics and ability to interpret data
+ Ability to understand and predict market trends and customer behavior
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandising in the footwear industry.
+ Strong understanding of market trends and consumer insights.
+ Proven ability to manage and execute seasonal line plans.
+ Excellent analytical skills with a focus on business performance optimization.
+ Strong leadership and team mentorship capabilities.
+ Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
+ Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or related field.

Hiring Range** **:
$90,720.00 USD - $113,400.00 USD annually
**Incentive Potential** : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
