JOB SUMMARY
Participates, in varying degrees of responsibility according to job level, in the development and revision of business rules, and supports the facilitation of the revision processes for and implementation of the Protocols, Market Guides, and Other Binding Documents. Provides guidance to Market Participants and other ERCOT departments on revisions to the Protocols, Market Guides, and Other Binding Documents and facilitates development of ERCOT’s comments and Impact Analyses.

+ Understands and applies principles, theories and concepts related to the profession and ERCOT's culture.
+ Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

+ May respond to inquiries and/or provide assistance and/or guidance to lower level workers.
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES
Level 1
+ Assists in maintaining and supporting business policies and processes consistent with, PUCT rulings and Board mandates
+ Assists with the facilitation of the Protocol and market guide revision processes and coordinates staff’s participation in the revision process
+ Assists ERCOT staff in providing Provides transparency into the proceedings of stakeholder meetings where revision requests are acted upon by synthesizing highly technical and potentially politically sensitive group discussions into concise and accurate summaries to preserve the history of the change process
+ Assists the ERCOT liaison with stakeholder subcommittees and working groups
+ Develops and maintains strong working relationships with staff and Market Participants, especially in the Protocol and market guide revision processes
+ Develops and maintains working knowledge of operations needed to support external and internal business needs
+ Assists in supporting internal policies, procedures and workflows for the Market Rules group
+ Develops and maintains strong expertise in business procedures and rules
+ Participates in appropriate training to maintain current professional or functional skills and develop new skills, as required
+ Escalates issues to the Manager, Market Rules in an appropriate manner
Level 2
+ Develops, maintains and/or supports business policies and processes consistent with, PUCT rulings and Board mandates
+ Facilitates, or assists with the facilitation, of the Protocol and market guide revision processes and coordinates staff’s participation in the revision process

+ Acts as a liaison with stakeholder subcommittees and working groups
+ Develops and maintains strong working relationships with staff and Market Participants, especially in the Protocol and market guide revision processes
+ Develops and maintains working knowledge of operations needed to support external and internal business needs
+ Supports internal policies, procedures and workflows for the Market Rules group Develops and maintains strong expertise in business procedures and rules

Level Senior - Above + Consistently completes assignments and address issues independently with minimal supervision
+ Provides guidance, training, and motivation to other analysts
+ Employs knowledge and experience of operations needed to support external and internal business needs
+ Develops and advocates internal policies, procedures and workflows for the Market Rules group
+ Proactively identifies and addresses issues that will impact ERCOT and Market Participants
+ Exhibits political savviness in facilitating issues through the stakeholder process
+ Builds working relationships with other departments and facilitates the development of mutual team goals
EXPERIENCE
+ Requires minimum 5 years job related work experience in excess of degree requirements
+ Requires 3 years experience in the electric utility industry
EDUCATION
+ Bachelor's Degree : Business Administration, Communications, Engineering or related discipline (Required)
+ or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required

Expected Salary Range:
$84,283 - $143,296
