Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Director Sales Operations is responsible for coaching, mentoring, and training sales representatives in order to increase in the number of Veteran Affairs funded patients admitted for services as well as increasing the revenues of the agency while maintaining a small productive territory.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
+ EDUCATION:Bachelor’s Degree in Business or health related field preferred; will consider relevant experience.
+ EXPERIENCE: Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a field sales role or sales management role.
+ CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE: Not applicable.
+ SKILLS:
+ Interpersonal, coordination, and leadership skills with ability to communicate both written and verbal
+ Practical and theoretical knowledge of home health and/or hospice
+ Demonstrates active involvement in professional organizations and community activities
+ Satisfies expectations and requirements of external customers
+ Demonstrates a clear understanding of how the referral source makes decisions
+ Demonstrates compliance with accurate, timely and pertinent information
+ Skilled in conflict resolution
+ Responds to suggestion constructively
+ Knowledge of healthcare industry is preferred
+ TRANSPORTATION: Must have a dependable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance in accordance with the laws of the State.
+ TRAVEL: Overnight travel 15%.
+ HEALTH STATUS: Meets all applicable agency policies and procedures related to health screening and requiredtesting.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES** **:
+ Ensures that all activities performed align with the vision of Elara Caring’s board of directors, executive team, and the leadership of the Personal Care Services team.
+ Leads VA account development including direct involvement with major regional accounts, large hospitals, healthcare systems, physician practices, managed care organizations, employer consortiums, and other referral sources.
+ Oversees that the patient care coordinator staff documents sales activity per corporate standards including pre-call plans, schedules, account profiles, weekly mileage, and action plans, etc.
+ Educates physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, regarding regulations of home care & hospice industry, agency policies, and informs vendors on scope of service.
+ Obtains VA medical forms and records from physician offices or medical facilities and facilitates patient care communications by informing physician’s & facilities on patient summary of care.
+ Sets effective goals and priorities while monitoring progress against plans and productivity standards.
+ Identifies and closes new business opportunities for the company meeting established sales objectives.
+ Maintains a regular presence in each of the accounts within the territory to retain existing accounts. Add Key Provides the company with feedback regarding competitive activity and other relevant information.
+ Receives referrals from VA physicians, hospitals, and other agencies and relays call information to intake.
+ Serves as a liaison between the agency, VA physicians, facilities, referral sources, and hospitals in the community.
+ Delivers orders and progress notes to physicians, facilities and/or social workers.
+ Participates in clinical problem-solving for patients and as a referral source.
+ Executes strategic plan monthly for ongoing added value to accounts and submits a quarterly report of progress on the Personal Care Services strategic plan in correlation to specified admission goals being met.
+ Initiates joint projects and presentations with other community resources to promote community awareness and innovative ideas in health care systems by keeping abreast of the public’s medical needs and health care trends.
+ Serves on agency committees and participates in problem-solving and ways to improve systems in patient care.
+ Transmits information to the appropriate clinical supervisor and staff nurse to facilitate admission of the patient to the agency and to contribute to the care plan.
+ Reports and follows-up on identified patient concerns and quality of care issues to the appropriate individuals.
+ Works with customer service center to provide exceptional service to all customers - internal and external.
+ Provides positive, supportive communication to VA physicians, patients, families, visitors, and other agency personnel.

+ Maintains patient and staff privacy and confidentiality pursuant to HIPAA Privacy Final Rule.
