The Associate VP, Software Engineering codes software applications based on business requirements. The Associate VP, Software Engineering requires a in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across segments and/or enterprise-wide.
The Associate Vice President of IT Services & Engineering Simplification will lead the development and implementation of streamlined IT services and engineering processes. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering innovation, and ensuring the alignment of IT services with business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT service management, engineering simplification, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
This leader will be responsible for ensuring that technology delivers business value, fostering collaboration across teams and establishing a customer-centric approach. This role will work closely with IT Senior Leadership to ensure standards are introduced and govern, to maximize gains in service and engineering transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and execute a strategic vision for IT services and engineering simplification that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.
+ Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in processes and systems.
+ Drive continuous improvement and innovation through services and simplification engineering from inception, to deliver, to sustained impacts.
+ Lead & manage initiatives to simplify end-to-end IT processes, enhance service delivery, and improve overall operational efficiency across multiple departments/teams in IT.
+ Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in IT services.
+ Oversee the management of IT service portfolios, monitoring and reporting on the progress of services and simplification engineering projects.
+ Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within the IT services and engineering teams.
+ Manage a team of initiative leads, who work with cross-IT implementation/transformation teams.
+ Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of IT services and engineering processes.
+ Manage budgets and resource allocation to ensure optimal utilization of IT resources.
+ Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify potential impacts on the organization.

Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
+ 10+ years of experience in IT services management, engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
+ Proven track record of driving process simplification and operational efficiency in IT environments.
+ Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and engineering best practices.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$189,400 - $260,500 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
