Description
Our UCLA Neuropsychiatric Hospital is seeking to hire a full-time Ambulatory Care Administrator to support our KidsConnect Autism Treatment Program. This program is a short-term,, day treatment program serving young children and their families. In this role, you will be a vital bridge between families and care teams, helping guide patients through the full treatment journey- from intake to discharge. Primary duties include:
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for families, providing information on autism care, program details and next steps
+ Coordinate patient admissions, schedule evaluations and medical appointments, and maintain clinical documentation
+ Support the intake process: review applications, conduct clinical interviews, and manage waitlists
+ Guide families through the program, offering logistical and emotional support
+ Collaborate with clinicians to ensure smooth program operations and optimal patient care
+ Maintain accurate records, manage daily attendance logs, and track patient progress in organizational systems
Salary range: $32.56/hr - $49.35/hr
Qualifications
Experience coordinating patient admissions and supporting clinical operationsPrevious experience working with childrenFamiliarity with hospital systems (highly preferred)Basic knowledge of child and adolescent development and psychopathology (highly preferred)Understanding of autism diagnosis, treatment modalities, and current researchExperience interacting with diverse populations, including children and their familiesComfortable discussing medical and psychiatric issues with both professionals and patientsUnderstanding of insurance benefit verification, pre-certification, and concurrent review procedures (preferred)Prior experience of medical billing processes and hospital finance systemsAbility to stay up to date with HIPAA, JCAHO, CMS, and Title 22 regulations and requirementsStrong organizational skills: creating and maintaining schedules, databases, and file systemsProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to manage multiple priorities and tasks under pressure and frequent interruptionsDemonstrated skill in setting priorities that reflect clinical urgencyExcellent written communication skills
