    About this role:

    Wells Fargo is seeking an Institutional Investment Operations Specialist. This position is within the CIB Operations Client Data & Onboarding - Account Relationship Management (ARM) Team with a focus on Client Due Diligence. The individual will be responsible for assisting with development of consistent AML, Compliance, and Operational Risk analysis and the management of select technology risk for multiple lines of business.

     

    Specifically this role will be responsible for performing CIP verification, reviewing Customer Due Diligence, and collecting Enhanced Due Diligence for higher risk clients in support of the Bank Secrecy Act (“BSA”) and the WFS Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) program while ensuring the process complies with relevant regulations and corporate policies.

    Individual functions responsibilities will include:

    + Understanding core AML / BSA risk and incorporating best practices.

    + Reviewing and validating customer information to ensure adherence to Customer Identification Program (CIP), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) requirements.

    + Providing AML guidance and escalation to LOB stakeholders for complex accounts and relationships.

    + Coordinating and managing day-to-day evaluation of AML risks throughout customer lifecycle process.

    + Updating procedures related to BSA / AML program.

    + Documenting process improvements and creating / managing action plans.

    + Participating in projects and initiatives to identify, assess, and mitigate BSA/AML risk in business activities.

    In this role, you will:

    + Participate in lifecycle support tasks for institutional trade initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements

    + Assist leadership in bringing individual or teams together in order to resolve complex issues

    + Assist in client account onboarding, input and monitoring of cash payments, customer service, project support, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation, as well as work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issue

    + Provide subject matter expertise on projects along with internal and industry related initiatives

    + Review and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable

    + Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise on functions, projects, internal and industry related initiatives

    + Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

    Required Qualification:

    + 2+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

    Desired Qualifications:

    + Knowledge and understanding of Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)

    + Strong risk management and compliance skills

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

    + Knowledge and understanding of operational risk management in the financial services industry

    + Ability to manage initiatives involving process improvements

    + Ability to assess current processes/procedures and make recommendations for efficiency

    + Strong knowledge and understanding of loan, securities, and derivative products

    + Basic Microsoft Office skills

    + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

    + Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

    + Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

    + Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment

    Job Expectations:

    + Ability to work a hybrid schedule, at least 3 days a week working in office

    + Ability to work additional hours based on business need
