Our client is a successful, profitable and growing property management owner and real estate company. Due to their growth is looking to hire a senior property accountant. For consideration candidates need to have a minimum of 2 years of commercial or resident real estate experience including: financial reporting, general ledger, financial reporting (including fee based and partnership allocations), month and year-end close, journal entries, CAM reporting, budgeting, forecasting, rent rolls, and reconciliations experience. The ideal candidate will enjoy working for a company that is ethical, forward thinking, and wants to be the leader in their industry. This position requires candidates to have a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Our Oakland County based client is presently looking to hire a skilled senior accountant to join their organization. If you are hired for this position you will work with a 7 person team and be responsible for the following activities: working with a diversified commercial real estate portfolio (senior living and commercial office buildings), and, their property managers to prepare rent rolls, assist with developing budgets, forecasting, general ledger, month-end, account reconciliations, year-end, financial statement preparation, financial reporting, special projects an assist with preparing property tax returns. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial or residential real estate accounting.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and month-end/year-end closings.
• Experience with account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Familiarity with property management systems and rent roll preparation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
