Description

Robert Half has partnered with a reputable national defense firm in Woodland Hills in their search for a talented Legal Secretary. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with hands-on experience in e-filing in state and federal courts, a strong ability to manage deadlines, and the organizational skills necessary to support a busy litigation team. This is a hybrid, contract-to-hire opportunity based on fit & performance.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide administrative and secretarial support.

+ Draft, edit, and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and case-related materials.

+ Handle e-filing in state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with all court rules and deadlines.

+ Calendar management, including scheduling court hearings, deadlines, depositions, and team meetings.

+ Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.

+ Assist with client billing activities, documentation, and general administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within litigation.

+ Expertise in state and federal court e-filing systems (e.g., CM/ECF for federal; state-specific systems).

+ Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills to prioritize workload effectively.

+ Proficiency in legal and office software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.

+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, meeting deadlines in a hybrid/remote capacity.
