    Job Tittle: Devops Lead

    LOCAION: Charlotte, NC

    A DevOps Architect/Lead designs and implements the infrastructure, processes, and tools that enable seamless collaboration between development and operations teams, leading to faster and more efficient software delivery. They bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring efficient collaboration, automation, and continuous delivery of software.

    Roles and responsibilities:

    • Designing and Implementing DevOps Strategies: This involves creating a roadmap for how the organization will adopt and implement DevOps practices.

    • Building CI/CD Pipelines: DevOps Architects design and implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.

    • Automating Infrastructure: They leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of infrastructure.

    • Tool Selection and Integration: DevOps Architects evaluate, select, and integrate various DevOps tools to create an efficient and seamless toolchain.

    • Monitoring and Optimization: They continuously monitor system performance, scalability, and security, making adjustments as needed to optimize the software delivery pipeline.

    • Collaboration and Communication: DevOps Architects facilitate communication and collaboration between development, operations, and other relevant teams.

    • Security and Compliance: They ensure that the systems are secure and comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.

    • Team Leadership and Mentorship: They may also lead or mentor junior DevOps engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices.

    • Staying Up-to-Date: They need to stay informed about emerging DevOps trends and technologies.

    Key Skills:

    • Cloud Architecture: Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is crucial.

    • Containerization : Understanding of container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is essential.

    • Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools is required.

    • CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and CircleCI is needed.

    • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet is important.

    • Monitoring and Logging: Expertise in monitoring and logging tools is required to track system performance.

    • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for troubleshooting and resolving issues.

    • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to work with cross-functional teams.

    • Team Leadership: Strong leadership and mentorship skills are important, especially in larger organizations.
