A Snapshot of Your Day
Become a member of a team of Contract Managers and Legal Counsels, crafting the future of energy at Siemens Gamesa. This role assists our Wind Power Onshore business by handling contractual matters during project execution. Responsibilities include contract analysis, risk identification, agreement negotiation, and advising project and site management on large-scale projects. Your day will be dynamic, engaging with customers, and ensuring flawless fulfillment of our contractual obligations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
+ Providing advice and support for customer contracts, consortium agreements, and sub-contracts to strictly protect Siemens Gamesa’s rights and entitlements.
+ Supporting in contractual and commercial matters, such as the change order processes and reviewing and drafting of relevant correspondence.
+ Identifying all relevant technical, commercial, and contractual aspects to support the set-up of project-specific claim strategies.
+ Contributing to pursuing and defending incoming and outgoing claims by collecting and advising on relevant project records, documentation, and all pertinent facts.
+ Performing quantum or delay analyses to establish causation for relevant events impacting the project schedule and/or the scope of work.
+ Collaborating with other legal teams by providing support in substantiating relevant facts for claiming quantum, extension of time, and establishing factual defenses in arbitration proceedings.
What You Bring
+ Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or related field is required. Master's degree preferred. At least 5 years of the following experience is required (7 or more years is desired). Working in tandem with legal counsel and providing support/analysis of commercial contracts, analyzing documents, and advising counsel.
+ Proficient in contract and claim management, with expertise in analyzing contracts and drafting legal correspondence. The selected candidate must be capable of balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Experience working within internationally staffed teams and contractual partners, and ability to travel domestically and internationally (15-20%).
+ Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, to effectively engage with collaborators at all levels.
+ Strong negotiation skills with the ability to support a matrixed negotiating team.
+ Collaborator who can also work independently and thrives in a challenging environment. Experience with commercial contracts desired. Experience in energy markets preferred but not required.
