Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician responsible for repairing, adjusting, and maintaining industrial production and processing machinery in a safe, clean, and efficient manner. This role includes basic troubleshooting and repairs with supervision.

Responsibilities

+ Support a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and procedures.

+ Maintain a quality work environment by following appropriate policies and procedures.

+ Complete weekly, monthly, and yearly preventative maintenance duties on machinery, equipment, and tooling.

+ Document required repairs and maintenance tasks.

+ Monitor equipment indicators to ensure proper functionality.

+ Inspect equipment, products, materials, or packaging to identify errors or defects.

+ Repair, clean, lubricate, or adjust machinery for optimal maintenance.

+ Disassemble, repair, or replace malfunctioning machinery or components.

+ Reassemble equipment after inspections, testing, or repairs.

+ Examine parts for defects such as excessive wear or breakage.

+ Clean work areas using basic cleaning materials.

+ Perform changeovers and set-ups as required.

+ Utilize root cause analysis for improvements as part of Continuous Improvement Teams.

+ Complete process checks on specified quality forms and records.

+ Ensure all equipment safety guarding is in place and machines are clean, neat, and organized.

+ Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to meet or exceed standards.

Essential Skills

+ Knowledge of maintenance repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.

+ Experience with extrusion machines, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

+ High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree in a technical field preferred.

+ Minimum of one year of related experience or technical training.

+ Training in maintenance/repair of mechanical equipment and machinery preferred.

+ Training in industrial electrical repair and maintenance preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in metal fabrication and welding preferred.

+ Experience with PLCs for manufacturing processes preferred.

+ Knowledge of machine design, use, repair, and maintenance.

+ Ability to disassemble and reassemble machinery, tooling, and equipment.

+ Ability to operate basic machine shop equipment.

+ Proficiency with calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers.

+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products and CMMS.

+ Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

+ Ability to build strong relationships and provide excellent customer service.

Work Environment

Work in a very clean, climate-controlled production facility. This role requires 20% clerical and planning and 80% machine maintenance and assistance to production employees. Work primarily occurs on the manufacturing floor or maintenance area where noise levels may be moderate or high, requiring hearing protection in marked areas. Eye and foot protection are mandatory in specific areas. Regular lifting of up to 30 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 45 pounds, is expected. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, humid conditions, fumes, and potential risks is present. The position involves physical demands including climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, and coordination tasks.

This is a Permanent position based out of New Holland, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.
