Manager Internal Consulting

Position Description Overview

Internal Consulting is Fiserv’s in-house management consulting group and partners with Fiserv teams to solve problems, accelerate solutions, and transform processes and tools. We provide independent and objective support for both strategy and execution to improve quality and elevate operational excellence. Internal Consulting operates under the direction of senior firm leadership, supports all business units, and specializes in cross-cutting initiatives that involve multiple Fiserv teams.

Managers act both as project leaders and as support members of larger project teams. The work includes close collaboration with a variety of functions and business teams across Fiserv, project management, data and information analysis, solution implementation, and quantification of project results. Managers must be comfortable being uncomfortable, as the environment is fast-paced and the initiatives frequently change based on business need and senior leadership priorities.

What you will do:

+ Lead and support project engagements.

+ Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify improvement opportunities.

+ Conduct time and motion studies to document processes and identify efficiency gains.

+ Develop and implement solutions to enhance processes and tools.

+ Synthesize findings and recommendations into high-impact executive reports.

+ Present project results and recommendations to senior leadership.

+ Support firm-wide productivity improvement programs.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

What you will need to have:

+ 5+ years of work experience, preferably in management consulting.

+ 2+ years of experience in project management.

+ Advanced experience in analytical tools and presentation software (Excel, PowerPoint).

+ Experience in logic-based problem solving, root cause analysis, and solution implementation.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, or a related field and/or equivalent military experience.

What would be great to have:

+ Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) in a relevant field.

+ Certification in project management methodologies (PMP, Six Sigma).

+ Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

+ 6+ years of experience in management consulting or related fields.

+ 3+ years of experience in leading process improvement initiatives.
