    Job Description

    The Operations Intern will support the Service Center Operations department and will gain exposure to equipment management, transportation coordination and operations planning.

    Responsibilities

    * Under supervision, assist in the planning, supervision, and control of available resources associated with the timely, damage-free, and safe loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts.

    * Gain understanding of load planning safety and maintenance.

    * Assist in job task assignment according to unloading and loading schedules.

    * Gain exposure to work assignment coordination, and performance monitoring.

    * Provide a clean, safe working environment for all personnel and visiting customers.

    * Other duties and projects, as assigned.

    Requirements

    Education:

    * Must be pursuing a college degree, required

    * Supply Chain and Business majors, preferred

    * Minimum 2.5 GPA, preferred

    Experience:

    * No prior experience necessary

    Computer Skills:

    * Basic computer skills, required

    * Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required

    Additional Requirements:

    * Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship for employment Upon Hire, required

    Other Details

    Work Hours:

    * This is a part time position that will average fewer than 30 hours per week. Work hours will be scheduled to support a 24/7 operation.

    Compensation:

    * This is a hourly position paid weekly.

    In accordance with the California Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the starting pay for this position is $19.24 per hour.
