    Job Description (CJCS)

    Writes, rewrites and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences. Acquires subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals. Oversees preparation of illustrative materials, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts. Conducts quality review of materials.

    Knowledge, Skills and Ability Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. General application of concepts, and principles. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks. Problem Solving Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Discretion/Latitude Works under only very general supervision. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy. Impact Contributes to the completion of organizational projects and goals. Errors in judgement or failure to achieve results would normally require a moderate expenditure of resources to rectify. Liaison Frequent internal company and external contacts. Represents organization on specific projects. May make presentations to small groups.

    Basic Qualifications:

    5 Years with an Associate’s degree; 3 Years with Bachelors. 7 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

     

    Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite

     

    Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance, and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.

     

    **Preferred Qualifications:** Hands on maintenance experience with RQ4 unmanned aircraft &/or ground segment systems such as USAF Global Hawk, FMS ROK and Japan, NATO AGS, and MQ-4 Triton programs are highly desirable. Experienced with using then Interactive, Electronic, Technical Manuals (IETM) Operations and Maintenance Manual (OMM), the development process and participating in Customer Validation and Verification (CVV) events.

     

    Salary Range: $58,000.00 - $100,700.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
