Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), billing, and cash receipts. You’ll play a key role in supporting the firm’s day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accuracy and compliance across all transactions. Familiarity with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint is essential.

Responsibilities:

+ Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable

+ Prepare and issue client invoices according to project contracts and schedules

+ Record and apply cash receipts accurately and promptly

+ Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables

+ Assist with month-end closings, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting

+ Maintain organized documentation and ensure compliance with firm policies

+ Collaborate with project managers and principals to resolve billing or accounting issues

+ Support year-end audit and budgeting processes

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a professional services firm

+ Strong experience with Deltek (Vision or Vantagepoint)

+ Proficient in Excel and general accounting software

+ Highly organized, deadline-driven, and detail-focused

+ Effective communicator with a proactive, problem-solving attitude
