A leading Philadelphia-based law firm is seeking a Legal Assistant to support a senior trial attorney with over 30 years of experience representing individuals and families in high-stakes personal injury litigation. The attorney’s practice focuses on complex and catastrophic injury cases, including medical malpractice, product liability, construction accidents, and premises liability. This is a unique opportunity to assist in impactful legal work that helps clients rebuild their lives and drives improvements in public safety.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide administrative and legal support to a senior trial attorney and their litigation team

+ Draft, review, and edit legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and discovery materials

+ Organize and manage case files, medical records, and legal documents with accuracy and efficiency

+ Coordinate depositions, client meetings, expert interviews, and court appearances

+ File legal documents electronically and in-person in both state and federal courts

+ Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, experts, court personnel, and opposing counsel

+ Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit lists, trial binders, and logistics

+ Conduct basic legal research and factual investigations as needed

+ Maintain confidentiality and ensure adherence to ethical legal standards

Qualifications:

+ 2–4 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in personal injury or civil litigation

+ Knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and court filing systems (state and federal)

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software

+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently and as part of a team

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ A compassionate, client-focused approach with professionalism and discretion
