Description
University of Rochester Highland Hospital is seeking an OB/GYN Hospitalists/Laborists/ Nocturnists for full-time position as Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology. The role of the Ob/Gyn Hospitalist reflects the commitment of University Hospitals to safe, high-quality care for women. The position includes management of laboring patients and deliveries, assisting in or performing Cesareans, management of triage, and the prompt evaluation and stabilization of Emergency Department patients requiring gynecologic services. The ideal candidate will be committed to patient satisfaction and promoting a culture of safety by adhering to established clinical practice guidelines and using sound clinical judgment. The position will include active involvement in student, resident and medical education and supervision as well as opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives. The Hospitalist will cover nights and weekends alongside a 3 member resident team with a robust back up system of both MFM specialists and Gynecologists.
Qualifications
• M.D./ D.O. Degree or equivalent
• Eligible for a New York State Medical License
• Must meet all credentialing requirements
• Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required
• Compliance with University and New York State health requirements

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
