    Jefferson Wells has a client in North Dallas seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team. This individual will play a critical role in guiding the financial strategy and operations of a growing, private equity-backed organization with exposure to the public sector. The ideal candidate will bring a strong private equity CFO background, strategic financial acumen, and the leadership skills necessary to drive performance across finance, accounting, FP&A, and IT.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the executive leadership team.

    + Oversee all financial functions, including Accounting, Finance, FP&A, and IT.

    + Lead and develop a finance team of 12, including 4 direct reports: Controller, two FP&A Analysts, and one Business Analyst.

    + Manage and guide third-party functions, particularly IT, while maintaining final approval authority over all purchases and equipment needs.

    + Ensure financial rigor and compliance across all operations, supporting long-term strategic goals and short-term financial targets.

    + Partner cross-functionally to support growth initiatives, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.

    What They Need:

    + Proven CFO experience in a private equity-backed environment.

    + Demonstrated exposure to or experience in the public sector.

    + Experience working with or managing third-party vendors or departments.

    + Strong leadership presence with a personable, collaborative, and flexible style.

    + A strategic mindset with the ability to roll up sleeves and build processes and teams in a fast-moving environment.
