Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the Greater Richmond Area. This is a long-term contract position within the manufacturing industry, offering an exciting opportunity to oversee vital accounting functions and payroll operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in financial management and advanced Excel skills to support a dynamic workplace.

Responsibilities: • Manage payroll processing for over 100 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. • Supervise month-end close procedures, including reconciliations and preparation of financial statements. • Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, maintaining organized and timely transactions. • Utilize ERP systems, such as SAP or Infor M3, to streamline accounting processes and reporting. • Coordinate change orders and ensure proper documentation for financial adjustments. • Conduct audits to verify financial accuracy and compliance with company policies. • Support billing operations, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing. • Collaborate with teams to optimize accounting software systems and enhance efficiency. • Provide leadership and training to entry level accounting staff, fostering detail oriented growth Requirements • Proven experience in accounting management or supervision within a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in payroll processing for large teams, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.

• Expertise in ERP systems, such as SAP or Infor M3, with a focus on financial operations.

• Solid knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Familiarity with auditing practices and financial compliance standards.

• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
