Description We are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support across hardware, software, and peripherals, ensuring seamless operations for users. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise to a dynamic environment while enhancing the overall technology experience for the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Install, upgrade, repair, and maintain hardware, software, computer peripherals, and scientific research equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues while addressing user inquiries and providing effective solutions.
• Educate users on the proper operation and usage of systems and equipment.
• Offer procurement advice and develop technical specifications to guide departmental purchases.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of the local computing environment, recommending improvements to technology and processes.
• Assist in analyzing technical products and systems, and lead technology evaluation or implementation projects.
• Execute product testing for evaluation and deployment, ensuring solutions align with user requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update them as needed.
• Log and update tickets and assignments in accordance with established protocols. Requirements • Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse individuals, including IT staff, faculty, clinicians, administrators, and students.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining high-quality service standards.
• Familiarity with academic or research operations and the application of information systems in such environments.
• Proficiency in computer hardware, configuration management, Windows, and Active Directory.
• Ability to provide thorough follow-through on technical issues to ensure resolution.
