Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in St. Paul, Minnesota. This role involves overseeing financial close processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to strategic financial initiatives. Responsibilities:
• Manage month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring the accuracy of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Analyze and review revenue, expenses, and balance sheet accounts to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and execute bank reconciliations, intercompany allocations, and other key financial processes.
• Collaborate with various departments to provide budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis support.
• Lead special financial projects, including mergers and acquisitions, and integrate new acquisitions into existing processes.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability in accounting and finance functions.
• Partner with leadership to identify and address financial risks and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and recommend enhancements where necessary.
• Support the preparation of audit schedules and assist in external audits as needed. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial roles.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and basic formulas.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Oracle is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage financial close processes and maintain accuracy in reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively across teams.
