    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Accounting Specialist to join our client in NE Portland. This opportunity, with the potential for long-term employment, is ideal for professionals who excel in managing financial processes and systems and are ready to contribute to a dynamic service-oriented environment. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting software and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision.

    • Utilize accounting software systems.

    • Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with financial procedures and standards.

    • Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards.

    • Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation to assist with month end close.

    • Monitor and ensure timely payment processing and collections.

    • Collaborate with team members to optimize accounting workflows and systems.

    • Apply expertise in QuickBooks to support day-to-day accounting functions.

    • Maintain organized financial records and uphold confidentiality standards.

    • Provide support for special projects and additional tasks as needed.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.

    • Proficiency with QuickBooks.

    • Strong understanding of auditing processes and financial compliance.

    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to reconcile account discrepancies.

    • Excel proficiency.

    • Ability to adapt to new systems and optimize workflows.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

    • Familiarity with the service industry and its financial processes is a plus.
