    Position Purpose

    This position is responsible for our core system banking platform. The administration includes user set up, product set up, maintenance of system tables, third party interfaces, daily processing, monthly processing, year-end processing and reporting.

    Essential Duties

    + Subject matter expert of current core banking

    + Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes proactively.

    + Identify opportunities for system improvements and recommend solutions aligned with business goals.

    + Work closely with internal departments to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

    + Act as a liaison between the credit union and third-party vendors, especially for integrations and issue resolution

    + Lead or support core-related projects, including planning, execution, and post-implementation support.

    + Coordinate and execute software updates, patches, and releases.

    + Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to ensure the platform remains innovative, scalable, and secure.

    + Lead continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance performance, automation, and user experience.

    + Oversee the deployment of custom scripts, batch jobs, and integrations that extend platform capabilities.

    + Champion the voice of internal stakeholders and members in platform decisions, ensuring the system supports evolving service delivery models.

    + Maintain daily, monthly and year end batch jobs, which includes job scheduling and monitoring. Responsible for job automation.

    + Working knowledge of core banking platform disaster recovery and backups

    + Assist help desk with end user issue resolution

    + Responsible for overall integrity of member data

    + First escalation point for core-related issues

    + Other duties may be assigned.

    Education/Experience

    + High School graduate or equivalent, Bachelors in business or technology preferred

    + 5 to 7 years data processing for a financial institution

    + 5 years experience with Credit Union Operations

    Skills/Abilities

    + Effective communication

    + Strong analytical

    + Familiarity with SQL, Java and JavScript

    + Strong background in platform ownership, product management or enterprise architecture

    + Proven ability to lead complex, cross functional initiatives

    + Understanding of financial services and industry data processing practices

    + Ability to build rapport with vendors and internal business units

    + Prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
