Ultimate Care NY, a leading provider of home health care services in New York, is seeking a Controller to lead and manage the financial operations of our organization. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, maintaining robust financial controls, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards. You will play a critical role in strategic planning and decision-making, supporting the company's continued growth and financial health.

Salary: $130,000 per year

Schedule: M-F, 9:00AM - 5:30PM on-site at our Brooklyn HQ.

You will:

+ Lead and manage the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting

+ Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and applicable federal/state regulations

+ Oversee bank and credit card reconciliations and manage cash flow

+ Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes

+ Coordinate and manage annual audits and tax filings

+ Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making

+ Continuously improve accounting processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy

+ Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

+ Direct and mentor accounting staff

You will have:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)

+ Proficiency in INACCT accounting software is required

+ Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or Controller role

+ Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards

+ Previous experience in the healthcare or home care industry strongly preferred

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
