    Special Education Teacher – 2025–2026 School Year

     

    Job Type: Full-time | Start Date: August 18, 2025

     

    Pay: $1,400/week ($40/hour)

    About the Role

    Amergis is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2025–2026 school year. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with special needs in a supportive and collaborative environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

    + Adapt and modify curriculum to meet diverse learning needs

    + Monitor and assess student progress

    + Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

    + Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s Degree (Associate’s Degree considered)

    + Valid Michigan Special Education Teaching Certification

    + OR Substitute Teacher License with relevant experience in special education or mental health

    + Minimum 1 year of experience working with students with special needs

    + Strong communication and organizational skills
